Dana
suffers from psychosis. She was totured as a child and driven
crazy. Being a potential slayer, she has dreams of the past
slayers. Now they have become real for her. She escaped from
her insane asylum in Los Angeles. A bone saw as her weapon,
she killed many men recklessly. She then replaced her unknown
torturer with Spike and tortured him in return. She has memories
of the two slayers he killed. She was then taken to England
with Andrew and twelve other slayers. Probably the reason
the First didn't go after her is because she was in the asylum
and figured she was already ruined.

Okay why would Giles send Andrew to L.A. when other scobbies
could have gone, that know Angel better. He was exteremly
funny though, good choice. Let's run the list: Buffy and Dawn
in Rome, Buffy probably didn't want to see Angel. Xander in
Africa, he never like Angel. Willow and Kennedy in Brazil,
probably Giles didn't want to bother them. Giles sent the
closest to him, his apprentice... Andrew. A shocker that the
Scobbies don't trust Angel anymore, who is going to believe
Andrew anyway? I doubt the Scobbies are as tight with him
as he says they are. Orders from Buffy, uh-huh...

The
reason I love her is because she is prue Whedon. Her worries
and her quips. What makes a true heronie is her vulnerability,
imperfection and humanity. By the <sob> series finale,
she got some guts and was a stone cold slayer.
